Y-pipe Suggestions

Looking for a quick opinion from everyone.

I have very little mods on the car, just recently threw on kinetix HFC. Previous to that i had A fujitsubo Y-pipe, and the flex pipes were showing signs of wear but car sounded stock. Had one flex also replaced few months back.

After the HFC's, the y-pipe made it clear both flex's were "broken" again, exhaust leak was obvious.
Now ive been told its going to be 150$ two "rebuild" the Y-pipes with new flex's ( labour and two flex pipes). I know that sounds high in, but in canada this is a "cash" deal and reduced rate.

My questions is seeing that Y-pipe has already been rebuilt once, doing it the second time am I just risking another break down in a few months, im sure the pipe is weaking with all the new and old welding.

Options i was considering.. let me know what you guys would recommend.
1. rebuild for 150.
2. Pick up a new one (maybe cheap on like HKS knock-off ) $75 shipped.
3. Rebuild to a different design like
-Ultimate Racine Y Pipe
-Kinetix Y Pipe
-Tanabe Y Pipe

The Hr pipe has 2" inlets, I believe his HFC's are 2.5" so there is a problem there.

OP ;

I have stillen HFC's and paired them with an ebay knock off, I ceramic coated the ebay replica except at the flex pipes, there I just applied exhaust black paint so that it would not rust. Been working for a year, no signs of wear or rust so far and sounds very good.

Hey thanks for the tip. I just ended up buying the ebAy knockoff last night. Ended up half the price the rebuild would have cost.

The ceramic coating you mentioned, did you get it professionally done or just spray paint application? Also what's your weather like I get mostly rain worrie about the rust. Winter time I usually park it anyways.

Last question. Did the tone get more aggressive after your hfc's and y-pipe Or just loud? I was trying to keep it stock sound just a bit louder. Thanks

I got it profesionally coated except the flanges and the flex pipes, I live in Puerto Rico so it rains a lot and the moisture is high here. The tone got somewhat deeper but I kept the y back section stock.
