ABOUT THE INJEN INTAKE

Hey What's up!

I have question about the INJEN Intake, I never installed an intake. I want to get one though. Was it hard to install it? How long did it take you? Did you get help from anyone? Does it come with instructions?
Please, give me some feedback because I really want to purchase it.

THANKS

G-UNIT

Re: ABOUT THE INJEN INTAKE

its really easy to install an intake in just about any vehicle these days......just a few bolts to remove the old airbox, then attach the new intake and mount it right and tight so it doesnt fall or hit anything if you over a bump...im sure it would take you 30 minutes to do it
im not sure if injen gives instruction (they probably do) but you dont really need them becuase its just so simple...its like playing with a set of Legos...you dont need instructions, if it fits it fits and thus works...if you are not confident just have your personal mechanic do it for $50 or something

Re: ABOUT THE INJEN INTAKE

there is a lot more to it than just simple bolts especially for injen cai. eventhough you get instructions by injen they use the 350z as the model. also for injen intake, you have to remove the entire front bumper assembly which is a big pain in the a$$.

Re: ABOUT THE INJEN INTAKE

That does sound like a pain in the a$$. Does anyone have instructions written up on removing and replacing the front bumper assembly. That sounds like an easy way to damage something.

Re: ABOUT THE INJEN INTAKE

you can kind of get an idea from my profile pictures. Sorry they're really crappy pictrures. It's not that hard at all to take off the bumper. The hardest part are the 2 bolts on each side of the bumper that attach to the side fairings.

The main part of removing the front bumper is to remove a small piece of foam and the right air defuser that directs the air to the radiator. If it wasn't for those two you wouldn't need to take off the bumper. If you want you can try to fit the fitler in there without removing those 2 pieces. Then you just need to take enough bolts out from under the bumper to place the filter inside.

Re: ABOUT THE INJEN INTAKE

Anybody know if the front end of the sedan is exactly the same as the coupe for injen install purposes?

Re: ABOUT THE INJEN INTAKE

I wouln't think so unless you did not disconnect the battery or connected the battery and tried to start the engine without connecting the MAF.

I don't think it will go on. I have not had it go on since I had my intake installed.

Re: ABOUT THE INJEN INTAKE

Looks a little different than the injen one .. maybe the angle and the level of polish and cone color ..hmmm
http://www.injen.com/new_release.html

the adventon one looks cheaper... SAME PART NUMBER on the Injen site except for the P .. INJEN RD1990P on the adventon site

http://www.adventon.com/acb/showdetl...15631&CATID=21

I really wonder if a there is a increase in max power on the 6speed ?
