?'s about plenum spacer size/hood clearance

Im looking at getting a plenum spacer but not sure what size to get and most importantly, will i need to get the car tuned afterward. Secondly, i just bought a fibeeglass hood and wasnt sure if the size of the plenum spacer would affect the hood clearnace ...

5/16 for midrange power
1/2 for upper range power

If you only have the spacer, no you don't need a tune.

Assuming your aftermarket hood has the same clearance as as OEM, you will be fine. You'd have to measure that yourself or ask the manufacturer.

i have a catback exhaust and looking for test pipes.

You'll want a tune after you get test pipes, ideally. You can get away without one but most likely you'll be running lean.

Also if you have an 05+ and 6MT, you will need the MREV2 to get any gains out of the spacer. Just FYI.

I have an 03, will i need to buy a new comp to get a tune or will the stock one do? How much is a tune

do some searches man. all your info can be found by searching the word tune as well as plenum spacer. id go with the 5/16 spacer and as far as the tune cobb accessport is easy to work with but do some searches bud!

hey at least im giving you the words to search too instead of just flaming lol. but ya some of the stuff gets pretty pricey but in order to run right its needed. gl man!
oh yea and as far as clearance i wouldn't see it being a problem even tho you can tell with the way hood is sittin but you can always take off engine cover if needed

gotcha ... so this corn COBB thing ... sounds like you only have to plug it in to change that map and then remove it ... so i could just find someone who already has one and use theres? or does it have to be connected to the car all the time?
