?'s about plenum spacer size/hood clearance

Im looking at getting a plenum spacer but not sure what size to get and most importantly, will i need to get the car tuned afterward. Secondly, i just bought a fibeeglass hood and wasnt sure if the size of the plenum spacer would affect the hood clearnace ...

5/16 for midrange power
1/2 for upper range power

If you only have the spacer, no you don't need a tune.

Assuming your aftermarket hood has the same clearance as as OEM, you will be fine. You'd have to measure that yourself or ask the manufacturer.

You'll want a tune after you get test pipes, ideally. You can get away without one but most likely you'll be running lean.

Also if you have an 05+ and 6MT, you will need the MREV2 to get any gains out of the spacer. Just FYI.

do some searches man. all your info can be found by searching the word tune as well as plenum spacer. id go with the 5/16 spacer and as far as the tune cobb accessport is easy to work with but do some searches bud!

oh yea and as far as clearance i wouldn't see it being a problem even tho you can tell with the way hood is sittin but you can always take off engine cover if needed
