I have Megan Resonated test pipes and they sound great. Except at WOT. Very raspy, I wish there was a way to get rid of some of that noise. It sounds like something rattling. I hate that sound..

Does anybody have anymore input they would like to share? I'm trying to decide whether or not to get test pipes...just the rasp thing is deterring me right now.

Hey guys I'm on the verge of purchasing a set of new Megan v2 test pipes but I need to know what is the difference between resonated and non-resonated test pipes. Anybody?

Resonated- more drone and louder
Non-Resonated- less drone and quieter

With the stock exhaust it sounds great. It's just that I have the x02 exhaust. It's kind of hard to get the type of rasp out of the stock exhaust compared to the rasp that can be generated from aftermarket ones.

The noise is from the y pipe flex pipes to be exact and it sounds a lot like rattle snake. (2200-1500 rpm) Only happens when decelerate. So how can i eliminate this noise. I thought the resonated test pipes and small flex pipe would reduce vibration a bit so not so much pressure is put on the y pipe flex pipes. I hate that noise- i want a cure!!
i had the same problem but i got a new hanger welded to hang my exhaust higher also because my y pipe flex area was scraping and that noise went away. i believe it was hitting the sway bar though.

U sure that isnt backwards?

Also any opinions on how the megan V2 resonated would sound on a sedan with Hr-y, z middy, and a muffler delete?

MD TDX2 w/ MD ART's...

You do pay for what you get. They sound absolutely amazing and as others have said no drone/rasp. Plus the gains are well documented and proven.

I am really tempted to buy those before even touching the bodykit or drop... but probably will do the drop first as with that setup desired the drop is far more affordable.
