Durability of y-pipe flex sections

I recently got an HR Y-pipe and it looks like it was bent during shipping. The actual piping isn't bent, just one of the flex sections. The braiding is still fine but one of the flex sections and corresponding pipe are angled about 30 degrees from straight. I can bend it straight but it goes back to bent when I let go. My question is, how durable are these flex sections and how much bending can they withstand without tearing? Is there a way to check for a leak? I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow if I get a chance. Thanks.

i'm not sure if it'll be a huge problem or not

but the flex pipe section is meant to move around and stuff to make the exhaust fit. it should be fine.
