If you have a near stockish system with a 2.5 intlet, you don't want a 3" outlet Y hitting it.

So you have a choice here. Run is "as-is", buy a 3" Y back system or mod it to fit.

I bought an used Borla and hacked the mid-muffler and added a Magnaflow resonated X pipe.

even for the guys that run the HKS axle-back, buy this and just have a muffler shop make you a cheap middy. bam, full cat-back setup!!!

well, it's an option and it's out there for you guys. def sweet for V36 guys since a lot of the full cat-back setups for you guys are like $1,500+. now you can piece together a full setup for much less.

But wait...if the inlets to the cheaper priced Y pipe you posted are the same as stock HR-Y pipe (2.25), wouldn't it be a better choice since its closer to the stock HR-Y pipe size of 2.25 inlet/2.5 outlet?

The outlets for both pipes in this thread are both 3" which seems to be the only issue which again can be corrected if need be.

I really don't see the problem between them honestly. Its not like we're talking about loosing major whp or wtq response.

Non of us has run a dyno between all three Y pipes (Original Z HR -Ypipe, the one from page one and the ebay one posted by socialconflicts) to really see the difference also.

How bad can it be?

well I bit the bullet and bought it, got tired of lokking for an hr pipe, i just got the megan y back that i just bought and i will let you know how it is... it should be here by friday

I'm a noob when it comes to G's. Do these open up the exhaust well with a stock catback? I assume those are high flow cats on the pipe to stay emissions legal. So what would this do in terms of sound/power with the rest of the exhaust stock? Thanks for the help, and link.

they're flex joints not HFC...
