I don't know of any after-market exhaust that comes with black tips. I painted my OEM tips black.

Exotic Speed has Hyperblack tips, I think you might have been searching for that?

Engine enamel paint. Never chipped or started peeling. Held up like a champ. I also sprayed the muffler black. It was started to get that ugly brown rust color, and it was pretty much "invisible" after I painted it. Looked much better.

Hyper black isn't much of a black.

I like the finish on the E46 M3 Dinan tips.

if you go to home depot you can get 1200degree black bbq paint, does not need primer, applies direct to metal. I go it to paint a used Tanabe system when I had my 240SX. I used it only on the piping leading up to the polished canister because it had gotten a little rusty looking, so I sanded it and cleaned and layed on a few coats...held up great and never deteriorated the years I had it (2-mid-a salty winters).

Will have to think about this. I did kinda want to go aftermarket but I love the sound of stock, I would just like it louder. Hyperblack isnt black at all haha but the E46 ones look good and thanks iDrive!

I still cant find anything but if I wanted to keep the same stock sound but louder how would I go about doing this? It was either that or the HKS exhaust for me but I gotta wait cause its expensive!

Haha, it's true hyperblack isn't really black at all. But I can't find a single picture of an exhaust tip for the G that's darker lol. I think the OP just saw some burntass tips or something.
