Bomz intake drops the filter too low and allows the possibility of injesting water which I consider a very bad idea. We have much better options for intakes on our rides....

Thanks guys, after some research i decided to go with Z-tube and drop in K&N filter. Not a bad upgrade for 90 bucks. I was wondering; I found several step by step instructions to install the Z-tube...but does anyone know of a video...its cool if not. Thanks again guys.

You really don't need a cai. The only thing you need to do is improve the existing airflow path to the engine. Our intakes provide adequate volume, smoothing and increasing the tract is what's important, and what most intakes do. However, most of these intakes are metal, which is the worst for heat absorption. Your Ztube/better panel is the best option. The next mod you could do intake wise would be a stillen air box which retains the oem cold air tract, has a taller velocity stack, and allows you to use aftermarket conical filters which do provide better airflow.
Long story short, avoid long metal intakes.

OP, that thing looks like a piece of CRAP!
