Ive heard you will lose hp with this if you not boosted or without a tune.

Is that the SSV or the Velocity Manifold?

OP, I asked a G35 member on my350z about the Velocity manifold a while ago. This is one of the PMs he sent me:
I dont have a stock graph but compared to the spacer it was near identical near 6k, i lost 2rwhp in one little spot at ~4k with kinetix but i believe that was since it was alot hotter that day. But pretty much the Kinetix matched the spacer until 6k and then made good gains, but with either spacer or a Kinetix i HIGHLY recommend a good tune, without a tune both kinetix and AAM spacer would more than likely make less power than motordyne since the motordyne only slightly leans the mixture apposed to the kinetix and AAM which have alot more potential
One also has to consider that the Kinetix heat soaks far less than the stock plenum.

Hope it helps.

Do you have a rev-up, or a DE?

SSV is not worth the cash on a NA vehicle.

So would you recommend a 5/16 plenum spacer over an intake manifold like this for a small hp gain?

^ probably considering you can buy almost 4 plenum spacers for one of these. I would think these would be more looks/FI applications

Well yeah plenum spacer should be better for the price for sure. I'm just curious about some more info on the intake manifold. Is it really that useless?

Haha if my memory serves me right, the internet says it's about 12-14hp with the kinetix and around 10-12 with the 5/16. So minimal improvements depending on application

Btw, don't get G37 19s, they looks like crap on the older sedans and they'll make you slower!

I was thinking buy the V+plumum along with a spacer. How is yours working out for you so far?

I hope everyone downtalking the SSV on an NA has had experience. From stock + Injen CAI, SSV V1, Test Pipes, Tune I gained 18 hp peak and 60 hp in the midrange. I was driving an entirely new car.

The SSV is a great upgrade NA or FI. First hand experience.

You're the first member I have seen in 4 years here post gains with the SSV. I have a couple of friends local that have installed it then dyno'ed their cars for a reflash of their Osiris and it has lost power both times. I would love to see your dyno chart, I'm very skeptical about the 60hp # with just the mods listed. Not saying it didn't happen, I just need visual proof to verify it. The 18hp is believable, but that has been achieved by many on here with test pipes and a tune. I don't think the SSV had anything to do with those numbers.

So I stand by my statement..............
