does having a CEL light on due to o2 sensing unburnt fuel hurt ur engine performance at all or is it just to tell u that your exhaust is putting out too much bad fumes? if it doesn't hurt performance by screwin with the air/fuel ratio then it shouldn't matter, just ignore the light right?

Hello. I recently changed out my Helix test pipes for my OEM cats again but the 02 sensor on the left cat was stripped, so now I'm driving with one missing 02 sensor. How would this affect my car in general and performance wise and is it ok to drive with a missing 02 sensor from the cat? Thanks in advance

Pros:
- Performance WAY better than stock cats
- Performance a tad better than HFC's
- One of the only bang for your buck mods for a g35
- Increased sound levels
Cons:
- Gas smell when stopped and windows down
- Possible CEL
- Possible rasp ( Eliminated to minimum with resonated test pipes )
In my opinion the mod is def worth it.

YourKuh, there's definitely some rasp with the test pipes. When I first installed my Helix test pipes it was pretty raspy but not exactly annoying. However, with time (I'd say a few thousand miles) the rasp died down. I even grew to like it. With the stock exhaust, at cold startup the sound is deeper. At around 2500-4000 rpm the exhaust note is a tad bit louder but dies down at higher rpms with moderate acceleration. At WOT on the other hand is slightly louder, not necessarily deeper, than stock. I'm not sure if this is the same as other test pipes however. Overall, I liked the addition of the test pipes, but I did notice the car consumed more gas over stock.
