I want a quieter G

Any advice on mufflers that make the car more quiet ? I don't care if I lose 10 hp in the trade off. Then again, I may change air filters to recapture some of what is lost in a newer/quieter muffler.

2005 g35 sedan MT

thanks

try switching to the 03-04 sedan mid-pipe, it's resonator is a lot bigger.

Hmm, well I know MotorDyne has the VQ (Very Quiet) exhaust, which is supposed to be quieter than stock and will net you some power. But since you don't care about power, I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives like SDGenius' suggestion.

Should've gotten something more economical vehicle...

Car comes stock with a unique note / exhaust sound ... why ruin it?

This is your easiest and cheapest option.

seriously?

I've never heard anyone say that the stock note is too loud, but to each their own.. if you're in the northeast, I'd trade you my 03-04 midpipe for your 05 midpipe.

Maybe trade your car in for a Lexus.

I am not sure but good luck with this. a friend has a buick and it is completely quiet. very luxurious feeling ride. to have a g35 with that kind of ride would be amazing.

not saying i would do it (im about to buy a z-tube to get it a bit louder) but it is definately a much different feel
