Can I clean my JWT popcharger with K&N filter cleaner/oil?

Question is above... will I ruin my filter if I use the K&N recharge kit?

Works, but will kill the nice jwt blue tint and make it this ugly color.

Xet is correct, you can clean and oil it with K&N cleaner but the oil is red so on the blue filter it is not the best. I have cleaned it several times this way. JWT sells blue oil I think I got some at a local speed shop from another company that used blue oil as well I will see if I can get the name in the morning.

Yup, I wish I would remember to order this ahead of time. I have cleaned mine a few times with it and now it is some weird, red/brownish color eww...

I just cleaned it with the K&N and I think I applied a little too much (Seemed like a thinner oil). I took it out for a test drive and at 4K RPM's it cut the power. There was trace of light oil in the end of the Z-Tube. I hope this doesn't cause any problems.

I took the Pop Charger off and lightly dabbed the inside and am letting it sit overnight. Is there anything else I should do? Will I have to reset my ECU? No lights or anything came on and I caught it the first time it happened.

Careful with that oil and do not oversoak it..

If it goes to your MAF sensor = MOOLAH damages for you.

Dont "over oil" your filter when your cleaning it or it will foul up your MAF sensor. If you get a lot of oil on the MAF get a good MAF cleaner and hope for the best.

Make sure you use something that leaves ZERO residue.. Electrical contact cleaner's suppose to work too. x.x

Best of luck to you. JWT Pop Charger OIL is blue.. I use the K&N Red Cleaner and JWT's blue oil =) the blue isnt as dark but still good =)

i just did this process but when rinsing off the cleaner, make sure to rinse it from inside out. the guy in this vid just rinsed it from the outside. the JWT site says to do this...
