Need catalytic converters advice.

I went to get my oil changed the other day, and the technician took me under my car to show me my catalytic converters. He said they needed to be replaced soon, they were really rusted with holes and cracks in the heat shield. The sensors were in fine condition though. So I was wondering what catalytic converter you guys would suggest i get, should i get stock or something after market. Right now i only have the borla cat-back exhaust. Thank you

You don't look like a power user so I'd be inclined if you were happy with your stock cats just go into the marketplace and get a set of used stock ones. Plenty of them out there if you ask because most with this platform upgrade to high flow cats or test pipes. I don't think you're going that way so just float for a nearby set of stocks.

But if the price difference is minimal then im willing to put in extra money, because installation will be the same.

Define "difference is minimal." It'll probably be a few hundred bucks difference- either way it sounds like you've made up your mind. New HFCs are going to be quite a bit more than used stocks (a la 400-500) but used high flows are going to be 2-350 depending on what you get. Used stock cats are going to be cheap and more than enough for what you need. If you're planning on upgrading (you haven't said a thing about anything except that you have a Borla exhaust) then obviously I'm going to suggest HFC... I used the Stillen and they were fine but ceramic coated Berks is probably where I'd have ended up if I hadn't put my big boy FI pants on.
