GREDDY SP2 Exhuast Muffler G35 Coupe

will this give me a gain in horsepower?

does anyone who has this want to tell me about it?`

I have the Greddy SP2. It will add maybe 5-7hp, but if you really want to feel an increase you will have to add down pipes and a y-pipe. I got my SP2 for $510 and then paid another $600 for the down pipes, y-pipe, and 3 inch b pipe with no cats. Greddy now has the EVO II exhaust. It is a complete exhaust, unlike the SP2 cat back. You can pick one up for under $1000.

you should do a search on the central florida dyno day by neffster. I was there. There was a G35 with this exhaust and an injen intake. No power was made.

Yea, I have the SP2, and I didn't buy it for power really. I bought it beacause I just wanted something different from stock. It's lighter than stock, fully polished, nice tips with Greddy embossed on it, and a deeper growl than stock. You get what you pay for really.

would you recommend this muffler or shnould I just stay stock. I also want something different from stock.

You should really try search before you get bashed!!!
But, I have the Greddy and Love it.
No HP gains on dyno but weight savings of approx. 20lbs over stock unit.
The growl at higher revs is schweet! No droning on the highway.

It sounds like you've been given some very good and impartial advise. If the search function was working I probably would not even respond to this thread, but in your defense it's not.

Simple equation for power on the VQ35DE... (and in this order)

1. Intake tube
2. Crawford High Flow cats or resonated test pipes
3. Crawford Plenum
4. Y-Pipe
5. CRAWFORD HEADERS!!!

#1-4 will cost you about $1200-$1500 and you'll gain a good 20bhp. If you add #5 (according to Doug and several people on my350z.com) you'll gain another 20bhp, easily. Unfortunately #5 costs ~$1200 + $300-$500 for Installation.

Don't even ask about #6. We're talking Cams and ported heads. Crawford is working on this and this will be good for another 20-30bhp (added on top of the other 40bhp you've added by going the N/A route). Unfortunately the cost will be very expensive.
