Invidia Gemini + ART pipes ?

Hey guys I need you feedback about this combo ...... currently im running Invidia Gemini on my G ( I love the deep sound) but still I want even more sexy sound and I heard ART pipes are the best for sound and performance. What do you think ? will this combo will be good or bad? Thanks

You may want to look into an HFC setup instead of the MotorDyne ART pipes if you want to pass emissions tests. If you are determined to use the Motordyne ART pipes in your exhaust system then I would suggest that you pair the ART pipes with the MotorDyne XYZ pipe with a modular HFC. I am having my new Berk Technology HFC installed next week. My current exhaust setup consists of an Ichiba High-Flow Race Y-Pipe, 06 sports mid-pipe and HKS high-flow sports rear section.

Hey,

I have been looking for the same info.
I have seen one person respond, who has this combo, and he states that he has no rasp.
I'm sure there are other ppl out there who have it though, and will be able to chime in.

I currently have art pipes and hr y pipe (pop charger and spacer), and I have rasp. My plan is to get the Invidia Gemini, since I want to get rid of the rasp but not increase the sound too much.
If you end up getting this combo, please add your input post install.

Thanks and gl

I have the invidia true dual and ART pipes on my coupe. Its an excellent combo. I get no rasp, there really is no drone, which is typical for a lot of true dual systems. I love how it sounds, really a great system. I wish I could post a video or two, but don't have any camera with a descent microphone so its kinda pointless. I wouldn't worry about emissions since the ART pipes have a "snorkel" 02 port so the sensor isn't directly in the exhaust stream. You therefore shouldn't throw any codes (i didn't) and should be able to pass inspection unless they put a mirror under the car or have an exhaust gas sniffer in your tailpipe.

Sick !! I most def want the ART pipes , its just matter of time when ill get it I just wait for my WORK VS-XX to come in first and then I will get the ART

Now how is the gains did you feel any major difference or does it just change the tone of the exhaust?

P.S. hows the sound of the Invidia after the art putting is it more aggressive? Thanks alot for your input

The biggest gain I felt was when I installed the ART pipes. The exhaust was only a very mild bump in power in comparison. After I had my car tuned it all really came together to produce a strong powerband. I did have my catalytic converters back on recently to pass emissions (something I found out later wasn't even necessary...but that's a whole other story). The sound with the ART pipes off and the cats back on was just sooooo tame and boring ...I hated it. Very monotone with a bit of bass/deepness thrown in. In comparison with the ART pipes back on the car just sounds vicious at anything above 4k rpm, especially outside. I took a drive not so long ago in my brothers 335i while he was driving my car so I could listen to it outside....couldn't stop giggling like a fakyn schoolgirl. The best part is that inside it sounds nothing like how violent it sounds outside. I really have to get a vid of it...i'll try to get something recorded this weekend.

MikeD still can't decide huh? Here is another track vid of my friend driving my car and I'm driving his 350z with test pipes and XO2 exhaust.

Remember I'm running headers also. This vid you can here inside at WOT and cruise on the return road sounds nothing like it does outside.

outside

inside of same run above

not my car. he has the gemini with Berks HFC

I don't think many people have this combo. Most people with ARTs have MD, FI or HKS exhaust due to the Gemini not being loud enough for most.

i thought about the gemini. it seems like a nice mid priced exhaust. what type of power gains and weight savings are claimed?

is there any rasp with it with an otherwise stock exhaust setup?

Thanks!
