Megan racing headers

Ok so I looked and used the search button but my question is still not answered. Megan racing headers price wise are VERY enticing to buy but when i read one of their fitment notes they stated that they have to use OEM size runners due to the steering rod/columm. Thats not the question though my question is about the quality and hp #. Should I just save up and get the Momentum performance headers for 1300 or Megan racing's for 359? Anybody have any experience with any of these products? I know you typically get what you pay for, but 359 and 1300 is a big difference especially if I can get the same style product for cheaper. Any help is appreciated thanks in advance!

Megan Longtubes

I just bolted on a set of the Megan longtubes. Fitment was great, no issues. Need long extensions and swivel sockets. Didn't have to lower engine or drain any coolant. Only had to diconnect the steering linkage. Just make sure the steering wheel doesn't move or it will throw off the some electrical stuff.( can;t remember what it is)
I got mine slightly used for $200. Beats spending $1300-$2000. They don't have merge collectors like the Fast Intensions, but they are only $350 headers. I say go for the Megan's/

Yeah I really couldn't understand why megans are so cheap compared to the momentum performance ones. How is the quality to you? Any butt dyno gains?

best headers for the money are the OEM HR headers off the 07+ G35 sedan and 350Z

I meant to say has there been dyno numbers proving that the HR headers are better than aftermarket headers. If that's the case i'll def get those used from a local junk yard.

Goodluck finding a HR car in the junkyard.

We have seen awesome power out of OE HR/370Z headers on a DE, but they are hard to come by.

As far as Megan longtubes, I had a set on my car back in the NA days. I gained 7rwhp above 6400rpm but lost nearly 10rwhp in the mid range and a couple peak vs OE DE headers w/ Test pipes. But they did sound awesome (youtube G35 APS exhaust longtubes).

Thanks for the input. I didn't know the megans were long tubes. Still can't beat that price though!
