Interesting comments about the "poop" or pop charger coming in that has me second guessing it.

Anyone else care to put in their two cents?
The heat soak can be an issue for any Short Ram Intake without a good heatshield to go with it. If you want some good performance/sound and low maintenance you can get one of the R2C MaxxFlow intakes which are dry filters meaning the cleaning process is as easy as pulling out the ol' air compressor. And they have been tested to be one of, if not THE best at air filtration. And they are the same length as a Short Ram Intake which means installation would be much easier compared to installing on of the long tubes. Just something to look for.

I have seen the R2C air filters advertised and they commonly are referred to as replacement filters for the the JWT pop charger filter.

So is the "heat soak" issue because of the oiled or "wet" filter vs having a dry filter? Or is it because of the metal heat shield vs a polyurethane box, like on the stillen?

Shopping around, the stillen filter and box is just over twice the cost of the JWT filter and heat shield.

I have obtained an OEM Z-tube thus far, but haven't installed it.

Is it the design of the pop charger that makes for a better sound or is it the combo of the oem z-tube and the pop charge filter? Jw because I've seen other filters that have the same design. Just can't remember where I saw them at
