Has a certain 'muscle car' sound to it, like the old ones, i guess mostly due to not cats and no real silencers.

oh really, interesting

ART's give a nice deep subtle tone to the car, it's not like TPs though, they're just crazy.

Not sure how they react when the rest of the system is un-resonated, but they didn't make *much* difference to mine with the stock mid and rear sections. That said, there was a change.

art pipes don't affect the dB level at idle - but do have a fuller sound, so it appears they sound louder. they do make a noticeable difference under load. tested myself.

think ART pipes will make it a lot raspier since it will be 100% straight pipe? or not bad?

ART pipes should take that lil bit of rasp out not introduce more

the idle sounds amazing but WOT not so much but as stated ART pipes will fix and make better

Part of the reason ART pipes are what they are, is because they gain over, stock cats (obviously) they gain over HFC's (obviously) but they also gain over standard test pipes.

Typically, you lose low down grunt with TP's, the ART pipes are designed in such a way, as to gain power back *and* stop that nasty rasp and extra noise from anything but a stock cat.
