Megan Racing Y-pipe question/difference

I have been searching to buy the megan racing Y-pipe, and have noticed there are two different types of Y-pipes. There are the ones that the two pipes meet up closer to the cats and have a long tube to where they combine to the outlet, and then theres the one that doesnt meet up till further down so it looks like a wider Y-pipe. What is the difference and which one is better/sounds better? any info would help, thanks in advance

From what I have read on here the V2 y-pipe is similar to the HR y-pipe. It is the wider looking y-pipe. I think I have read that this piping is bigger than oem piping and may rasp on a stock y-pipe back. I'm not sure though, I may have read something wrong.

Well the oem piping is 2.25" and both of the megan versions are 2.5" in and 3" out. just wanted to know if the shape made a difference or y they changed it to a wider looking y-pipe

I think there's one style for the HR and for the DE motors....I was running a Megan Ypipe (for DE motor) it flowed better than the stock ypipe...some of the G35 (VQ35DE) parts fit to my M35...

Since installing the MD xyz pipe I've had the Megan stored in my garage, but here's a few pix...

the HR style and DE are interchangeable. You need to figure out what type of exhaust you are going to run.
