I need to replace my rusted stock exhaust. I want something not too loud but with a good tone. I was looking at the tanabe exhaust. Anyone have experience with this exhaust on their X?

 

I installed it on my 06x and I love the sound. IMO this is the best sounding exhaust I've heard for the G35. No drone and not loud unless really stepping on the gas.

Does Tanabe made for 2004 G35 sedan directly fits on 2004 G35x???
Has anyone actually installed it on the AWD without any bending or welding??????

You've probably never heard the Motordyne VQ then. Sexiest sedan exhaust ever.

After two months of this exhaust sitting in my basement, I decided to get it installed. To my surprise it came with only the mid pipe and muffler and no y-pipe. I called to confirm and I guess the y-pipe is sold seperatly but they also told me that the mid-pipe had to be modified after I was told it was the y pipe that needed modification. I had my brother in law attempt to install it and it was direct bolt on to my stock y.pipe. it was an easy install. It was just installed today so I haven't really driven around much but so far it sounds good not too loud but a good sound when you reach higher rpms.

 

 

Sorry to bring up an old thread but any pics of the tanabe on the X model? what about ypipe?
