Stock exhaust too quiet?

Just a curious question. When I start my car, I don't hear that famous growling stock exhaust sound on my 2007 G35 Coupe. But on my neighbors 2006 (same car), I can hear his.

Mine is an automatic and his is a manual.

Is there something I'm missing, such as cleaning something or because he has a manual transmission car?

I should also note it's usually on cold starts, but when the car is warm and I start it up, it's not as loud as my friends

Something I'm missing here?

Thanks, kind regards.

I have an 06 auto as well, JWT pop charger and Z-tube installed and I still feel like the exhaust is fairly quiet upon start up... cold starts don't seem very growly unlike the warm starts.

No mods. Complete stock. I guess it only happens with cold starts I assume? And maybe it's not as loud since I'm inside the car?

I love the stock exhaust sound, just would like a lil bit louder of the growling sound.

I'm getting resonated test pipes installed soon, they are supposed to increase the volume but keep the stock note.
