Code popped up after installing JWT pop and Z tube
Hello fellow G/Z Owners! I joined the forum in December after I purchased this 2005 G35 sport Coupe. I drive a lot for work and get reimbursed for mileage so I wanted to not only make my next car a looker, but also quick and efficient. I purchased the JWT Pop and Z Tube to replace the stock air box. After installing, I get the SES, Slip, & VDC lights stay on. Took it to my friend and the code came up "PO 340" Camshaft Position Sensor problem B1.... Freeze Frame showed 192rpm
Int/v timing B1 degrees 127 & steady
Int/v timing B2 degrees -3 varies +/- 5 degrees
Before I changed the air filter to this, no issues. Now, it appears I have a camshaft problem????
I tried to reset the CPU as some great folks suggested on the forum but I cannot ever get the check engine to ever blink in step 7....
Yesterday, the car ran great with no issues. Today, after the install of a more efficient air filter, issues.....
Any suggestions???
Thanks in advance. Stuart Chase

Unplug the battery, pump the brakes for 20 seconds and then plug it back in. Should reset ECU.
For all the trolls you don't have to do it for 20 seconds, it's just overkill to make sure it kills it.

Thanks Gentlemen, I tried the brake pump thing after the battery was disconnected, still get the code. Car starts after a few cranks. Not like it was before though. I only have 70k on the motor. I am pretty certain that the camshaft position sensor has not gone out that quickly... I am in Sacramento California and I'm sure the dealer here will want a bit more than $125. lol... Thanks again Folks.
I'm assuming that is something I can do myself? I have the tools but no rack. I know they are located behind the rear par of the heads. If I change them, Do I still have to complete the ECU reset?
Thanks again for the help with the clearing of the capacitors.
