Hey guys, long story short I have been looking for detailed comparisons between these two exhausts but was unable to find much information at all so I thought I might try to compile as much information as I can.

My experience has been with the MD XYZ w/ resonator and Megan OE-RS exhaust. I have had this setup for about 3 months now and as much as I am a huge fan of Motordyne I was not able to find the discontinued exhaust they make for the sedans so I chose an exhaust that looks similar to stock and is compatible with the MD XYZ. Overall I do like this exhaust very much and as for gains per dollar I thought this would be in competition with the MD and the Stillen exhausts made for our car. Since I did not see any graphs or anything to conclude this was a competitive exhaust on the market, I was hoping any information anyone has on these two would be beneficial to others as well.

Yes, I know without a tune there is very little to compare as well but if anyone has any information, whether it be a stock vs aftermarket comparison graph or a before tune/ after tune graph I think all information would be great.

I did find some information such as many claiming the OE-RS is an 18 gauge steel compared to the stillen and motordyne exhausts being a 16gauge steel, if this information is incorrect please let me know and I will edit this as well.

Thanks again and if anyone has any information I believe this could benefit everyone. Thanks again GDriver!

I apologize about putting this in the wrong forum, I thought since this was specific to 1st gen sedan's it was in that section, thank you Mod for placing this in the right section.

The Megan is definitely made of thinner gauge steel than the others, but gains between the OE-RS and VQ or Harakiri are negligible. Tony had a huge write up where he describes that he found minimal power after the Y-pipe merge. He tested 3", 4" and a conical diffuser after the Y and found no more than 2.5 hp. HE said the best diameter is 3" after the Y, and it was to keep torque up, exhaust velocity and sound. There's a member on here who made a custom 3" true dual, and it sounds terrible IMO. Near the end of the thread, you will see where I quoted Tony's research and his thoughts on power found on the Y-back.

Thank you for the info re-crue13, I did read that on their site so I went with the XYZ so I guess the main difference becomes basically whether or not the Stillen's y pipe is equal to the XYZ? I do remember the Stillen is a 2.5" dual pipe and many people saying it is a bit quieter than expected. I will be going to a local member during this weekend or next week to go check out his Stillen and do some more comparisons. Looking to go art pipes in the future and I am not sure if I would like the exhaust to get any louder than right now, so i am just looking at other options. Thanks for all the help!
