Quote: certainly not the majority, more than likely far from it. This would be a simple by-product of the car being in the <10k used range. All sorts of characters come up in that range and many lack the money for quality parts. My understanding of shopping smart is buying a used Amuse titanium for 3/5th of the original price, or a never installed OS Giken lsd for $1200, or a set of used Advan wheels with tires for $2000. Those are examples of sweet deals and real smart shopping. It's not buying Chinese replicas that will fall apart due to steel that can hardly be called 304SS.
Well said. This forum does not need ANOTHER thread defending knock off products.

Every high school kid that can afford a first gen high mileage G35 will buy your replica exhaust, they don't think past this afternoon! There's something to be said about quality parts, how they work and last. We have seen nothing but threads/posts about replica failures for several years. I'm sure they thought they were shopping smart too!

Quote: It's good to know that the less expensive exhaust can actually work and sound good. You should post a vid/sound clip and pictures from your auction. At least the next G35'r that is looking for something inexpensive will be pointed in the write direction.
im gonna post some sound clips sometime this week and exactly my point of the thread

Quote: We spend top dollar on exhausts so welds do not fall apart and tips start to discolor... I myself got mine used-best of both worlds and something I HIGHLY recommend to save $$ Just because this isn't a factor now with yours does not mean you're not susceptible-hopefully in your case you don't have these issues

In b4 this turns into a "I don't have works/Volks" type of thread.
I know a guy on this forum that has a topspeed exhaust with over 40k miles on in still in great shape it was when bought and still sounds good. why i said it has good solid welds. like i said you don't have to spend crazy money. id rather take my time and search and inspect and buy something new than something used

most definitely majority i have been on this forum for years. a lot longer than the date that i joined reading and researching and i can confidently say the majority. Or at least majority of active posters Ur set up u mentioned is $3200. I paid $450 for exhaust and $1200 for wheel/tires so im at $1650 half of that cost. Funny you mention chinese products yet you drive an import car lol

You'll spend close to $100 per ticket to attend Disney World that only lasts a few hours but you refuse to buy quality parts that will last the life of your G35? Don't bother posting a vid of your exhaust, they're only as good as the Wallmart recorder you used...Gary

I was waiting for someone to see that^

So now you have verde wheels, ebay headlights, gtr overlays, ebay coils and now a replica exhaust.

I just had a megan oe rs muffler and custom mid pipe minus resonater exh installed $450. The work megan did on muffler is excellent. I work in stainless steel and the welds are top notch. I could have spent $1500. Didnt see the need. It sounds great and didnt break the bank.all the woman that ride in my X love the sound

Glad you know so much about what I have to record with lol. As another poster said you don't have to spend tons of money to have quality parts with my experience and others that I know have had good quality and experience with the set ups they have. If you want to spend tons of money then go ahead my point was showing that you don't have to.

Is there anything on your car that you replaced that is better quality then your stock parts?
