Anybody have this setup? Is there really any improvement in restriction from the stock y pipe? And any difference in sound? Can't find any YouTube videos of this setup. I have the stock exhaust with a resonator deleted 3" mid pipe. Also does it fit perfectly in the same spot as stock y pipe and stock cats?

Funny you just posted this today. I just installed the XYZ w/ resonator module on my stock cats and stock exhaust this past weekend. It takes the place of the huge, ugly and heavy stock y pipe already in place. Fits perfect. I had a lift, so installation took 10-15 minutes. Might take longer with a jack and having to get up under the car. Sound is slightly (and I do mean only slightly) a deeper growl WOT under load. When idling, you can hear a slight deeper rumble as well. My butt dyno feels it, but I don't know how much hp/tq gains you really get out of it. I just didn't have the money to get the ART pipes yet, so this was my first step in building up my exhaust. I know that when pairing the XYZ and ART pipes, it is the best chance for no rasp, and frees up the exhaust in the most restrictive areas on the G. I will be adding the ART pipes in the next few weeks, and I already know the install on those is going to be a bit tougher than that 'plug and play' XYZ pipe install.

I promise you it is not really worth a sound vid. It is so close to stock when revving in neutral. If you are getting it strictly for sound I would say save your $400 towards a entire exhaust system.

Like I said, the only reason I have heard getting the XYZ is helpful or worth it, is the ease of changing out the HFC module if you live in states where there are restrictions and emissions tests, and to eliminate rasp on test pipes/HFCs

How much was it to get the mid-pipe and install it to delete that stock resonator? I saw that little thing while I was up under the lift. Also, does it sound any better once it is removed?

Sounds good for just a quick res delete. I think the XYZ would sound good with your current set up. I did not realize the gains were 6HP. I can for sure feel it though.

Im running this on my Sedan, Kinetix Resonated test pipes - XYZ pipe with straight module - Coupe mid pipe - Stock sedan rear section. Not much louder vs the stock Y pipe. Performance gains not noticeable.
