You might gain 3-4 hp at 5000-6000 rpm.....but you might LOSE 15 hp at the lower end...... sounds worth it huh???
But real enthusiast count the HP at the higher rpms, but unless all you do is constant quarter mile runs..... then its not feasible for daily driving. All that extra noise just makes you think your going faster.....

Re: intakes!
How can getting more air into your engine actually cause you to lose power? If you get more air into the engine, you will gain more horsepower(also depending on how well the intake is developed).
I have heard that you might lose horsepower and torque at low RPMs with exhaust and headers, but never with intakes.
Some engines, require a certain amount of backpressure at low rpms. The maxima has a dual stage muffler, that keeps backpressure at low rpms for torque, and reduces backpressure for upper rpm horsepower.
The power gains are modest, however, I dont know how getting more air into the engine would reduce power, unless it is more restrictive then the stock unit, which is probably unlikely.

one of my good friends installed it for me and i dont believe it took him all that long. He told me he had no problem doing. you're talking about the stillen airbox right? if so, then that should be easy, but i say get it professionaly put in.
