Opinions needed on y-pipe back exhausts

So I'm looking for options on y- pipe back exhaust systems and there doesn't seem to be to many options available. It seems like the exoticspeed is my current choice, but I also saw a momentum performance that was a little cheaper. Anything else I should look at? Also, I currently have ART pipes and resonated xyz pipe. Thanks

Since you both invested in a high end y-pipe I suggest to complete the exhaust system with the rest of Motordynes y-back system. It would have to sound and flow better than anything Exoticspeed has to offer! From the most recent vid featuring Exoticspeeds systems it sounds like someone p!ssing thru a extreemly narrow straw! Some members actually like that sound!

Try using it's called SHOCKWAVE TDX2, since you already have the Y-Pipe you just need what comes after. There's a few vids too so you can hear what it might sound like on your ride.

Gary, what is this Google you speak of?

I see the Shockwave and it looks good, but as your keen eyes point out I already have the y-pipe. What I was getting at is that I'd rather not pay for a second y-pipe and see no option to not buy it from MD.

Don't tell me they don't have in Canada? Motordyne (661) 993-5242 I'm sure if you wanted to buy the balance of the Shockwave system leaving off the y-pipe (since you already have it) they'd be glad to sell it to you! Just because they show the whole system in the pic doesn't mean it's always sold has a complete unit.

I found the Motordyne y-pipe back TDX2 @ b2autodesigns, but it still costs $1400. To me what little extra gains in hp aren't worth the cost. I'll probably end up getting the Momentum Performance dual exit exhaust.

Bent the stock y-pipe on my 2004 G35 this weekend when I was crossing a railroad crossing with a big pothole. I brought it to several muffler shops and they all recommended replacing the y-pipe with a new factory y-pipe. The cost varied from 700 to well over a 1000 bucks.

Found this on eBay which will replace the entire exhaust system from the cat back. This will eliminate the y-pipe. Has anyone on this forum done this to their G35?

Buy a used stock y pipe. You should be able to get one for like $50. Yes, a lot of guys run aftermarket exhausts. You can get a new exhaust too. The one you posted is a Hks replica.

If you plan on keeping your G for a few years don't buy anything replica! The cost is low for a reason, they use thin wall stainless and before that fails the welds will crack. Replica's are kinda like wasting your hard earned $$!

I agree with Gary, go with a respectable name and you can't go wrong. Materials make or break an exhaust. Thin wall tubing can sound crap and will not hold up to any real use.
