Why not just do a muffler delete then add the Magnaflow? With your suggestion you'd actually have 2 mufflers in the system..........
i forgot to mention the muffler delete, i was going to just swap out the stock muffler for the magnaflow but i wanted to know about the changes in performance because i dont see the point in spending money on something that will be a set back
Removed the mid muffler and swapped the resonator with a Dynomax on my V6 Accord. Added some growl without adding any rasp or drone. Car sounds good on start up and when I get on it, rest of the time its quiet.
Don't know if our cars are more drone prone than Accords but I've been fighting it since I got a Tanabe Medalion exhaust. Adding a resonated Y-pipe and swapping the Tanabe muffler for a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler definitely helped. Might want to look for a performance oriented muffler shop in your area and do one thing (like the resonator swap) at time. Do everything at once and its harder to pinpoint where it went wrong.
