Advice on Muffler/Exhaust Situation

Hey everyone! This is my second post on g35driver, so please just bear with me and my lack of knowledge on the g!

I bought my 5at 04 coupe from a nice older man who installed a Magnaflow muffler onto the exhaust pipes of the g. (He gave me the stock muffler when I bought the car off him and I still have it)
In addition to the muffler, I have added a plenum spacer, ztube, and performance air filter (seems to be the golden ticket for bolt-ons), and now am interested in buying either a high flow catback system or test pipes. My question is this: if I wanted to go the hfc exahust system route, would it be possible to buy the pipes and cats but still use my current muffler from Magnaflow? or would it be better off to just get rid of that muffler and incorporate a new hfc or test pipes? I'm a college student so money is tight, please recommend the best possible setup for something that's relatively cheap but still sounds fantastic and gets the job done. open to any suggestions! No, I don't have the money for MotorDyne art pipes so please don't recommend that. thanks in advance and I appreciate any info I can get!

In your own words, "Money is Tight" so we'll proceed from there. High flow cats or test pipes will free up more volume than your factory exhaust can handle without being very raspy! Only way to avoid the rasp is with a high flow exhaust system like HKS or Motordyne! There are other less expensive systems available but they're virtually a waste of those tight $$! You've made a few good mods, the Magnaflow muffler should give you a enjoyable sound...enjoy!

If you go with high flow cats or test pipes, I'd suggest adding in a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator into the system. Its a pretty good drone/rasp killer.
