Ive got a 04 sedan 6mt and hate the factory exhaust look. Id like to custom fit a coupe exhaust. was wondering if anyone has tried doing this yet?

 

Hey buddy, I asked the same question too. I believe everyone said that it wouldnt fit because of the spare tire mount. That and there are electronics or something back there. I was thinking myself that it may be too low to the ground. Hope that helps. Later

 

I would love for someone to figure out how to put the coupe exhaust on the sedan...I still don't understand why Infiniti didn't put the dual exhaust on the sedan in the first place.

 

Just to point out the coupe doesn't have dual exhaust either, just dual tips.

Anyhow, you can try the coupe midpipe. There are many recent threads on that. One also has sound clips. I've been happy with mine so far.

Why go through all the trouble of trying to fit a coupe exhaust on a sedan when there are plenty of great cat-back exhausts designed for your application?

I have the Borla and I love it...

hows the sound on the borla TD compared to stock at idle and WOT? is there any highway droning?

 

At idle it's very tame. At WOT the lion awakes and roars, deep and throaty. There is a noticeable drone at 2000-2500 RPM's. Since I very rarely drive in that range, I don't notice it at all. The Borla has passed the GF and the parents (old folks) test.

 

nothing beats the look of the dual look liike the coupe. im gonna have my buddy at the local performance shop see what we can work up in the next couple months. ill let ya all know

 

Hey Skeleton Cru....do you a sound pic of your set up? I'm thinking of getting the same set up, but not sure yet since I haven't heard it.

How does the sound compare to the Coupe stock set up? louder? deeper sound? do you get droning in the cabin?
