Which Cold Air Induction System...

...do you recommend for the sedan?

Has anyone dynoed their sedan's CAI?
Stillen claims 11 HP for the sedan!
I heard Injen says theirs will produce 14 HP... sedan or coupe?
Blitz?
Other?

I don't know why but nobody ever talks about AEM intakes. Sure they have not developed one for the G35, but maybe they will in the near future. AEM is still one of the best intakes on the market today. An intake is probably the best bang for the buck mod you can get for this car.

Re: Which Cold Air Induction System...

I spoke w/ AEM on Thursday, the intake for the 350Z WILL NOT fit the G35 Coupe. The are in the process of manufacturing one. They are hoping 60-90 days. I am personally waiting.

Dave, I put on the Stillen CAI. It uses a K&N filter element. I did not have it put on a dyno. Hard to tell from the seat of the pants what difference it made. It is an easy installation.

mattycNJ > Can you do us sedan guys a huge favour and ask if the coupe AEM intake will fit the sedan, or if they are developing one for the sedan itself? The coupe Ingen fits the sedan so I don't see why AEM will develop two products, but whatever the case. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Which Cold Air Induction System...

I want to see an independent dyno on the Injen. I say there's no way that thing provides 14 hp on a G35 coupe. It's not different enough from stock. I wager it's half that at best.

Re: Which Cold Air Induction System...

Is there a difference in the sedan and coupe's air intake system from the filter box to the throttle body?

Mods only work if ECU us reset

Dont forget all mods are tempered by computer that senses more airflow reducing fuel flow....Reset by disconecting battery.

And the couple will not experience 14hp gains that is for the sedan. And you can feel it and hear it. Just try the disconnect thing and get back in - after a while computer learns your style and slows shifting and fuel flow and then when reset you feel like you are driving a v8.

What ever happened to the guy that was making ECU mods to flash memory?
