Yeh, Ted, I think most of us have our "garage slippers" in one way or another.

And hot damn, that sounds mean! lol I really was considering doing this a while back, just in case I wanted to run at the track or blast back at the yahoos in the loud-*** Z28's and Firebirds with headers and exhausts. lol Of course, I would have turned the tips outward to really give them an earfull!

And yes, you've gone too far, but not for the reason you think. You've gone too far because you did this to a sedan! What a SHOCKER that's got to be!

Chinese wife = no shoes allowed in house, so you get a little sick of taking your sneakers off to get another beer. And yes, I will be working on putting a fridge in the garage! (beer reference slipped in to add manliness to Garage Slippers)
You redeemed yourself with the beer comments. Good save.

Alan... yes, they sit lower. a month ago i wouldn't have minded with only prokit springs. But then I went and installed Eibach sportlines.... arrrgh

I am scraping on the speed bumps by my house.. I am even grinding a bit as the car enters the garage (and that's just with me in the car!!) I am going to get it back on the lift and see what I can do next week.

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but it looks like there's basically an outlet pipe that is blocked off on one end. Won't that create turbulence in the exhaust flow?

Well, you are not supposed to run around town with these things open.. so yes you could burn off some of your underbelly if you do not put some down tips on it.

As i only ran it for the 1/4's, it is not that much of an issue.

=============
Reports from the field:

Ran LACR the other night. Temps were in the low 90's until sundown. Stayed in the mid to high 80's for most of the night.

The best I could post was 15.0... but there were some other factors to account for besides temp:

#1: I don't think my 19's are helping me much, but there is a weight savings with the wheels.

#2: I was having some problems with my MM. Coming over the Angeles Crest, the MM stopped shifting, I had to slam it back over to "D" to get the tranny to run properly. Had the same problem during my first (last) Trophy/Break Out run. Wouldn't shift to 2nd and buried it in the rev-limiter. Maybe the tranny was running too warm??? Need to consider a secondary tranny cooler. The Griffin radiator I have has a smaller tranny cooler, but it is supposed to be more efficient. My LM1 O2 sensor was poisoned, so was not able to record temps.

#3 I recently padded the entire trunk with B-quiet sound dampner, as well as added a V-comp carpet/mat for sound deadening. This adds a bit of weight back there.

#4 i was running on 1/2 tank of gas...traffic was slow for most of the Crest, so did not burn as much as I thought I would.

-------- OK, excuses out of the way......

I ran both with and wthout the e-coutouts. Monsterous noise in the car. Not sure from the outside and couldn't get the camera too close when G35Lin was filming from the outside.

With the e-coutouts, I def feel the loss of power on my 1-2 shift. I have a 5AT, but it feels like I'm starting out in 2 with a 6MT. I do feel the top end.. big time, but by then it's too late for my N.A. G. I really feel that an FI would benefit from these, or if I move the switch inside the car (was going to anyway) and then open them after my 1-2 shift.

I wonder if it would work better if you put one in the mid-pipe after the first resonator. Anyone know what the diameter of a Fujitsubo Legalis-R mid-pipe is?

edit: Fuji mid-pipe is also 3 inches in case anyone was wondering.
