Finally got the Borla installed
I own the Borla true dual exhaust system as well.
I never had the bad smell problem being that I bought the exhaust used.
When I first had it installed, I found the tone quieter than stock and much deeper. It kind of disappointed me until I punched the car past 3k rpms.
I was worried about leaking due to everything being held together by clamps. When installed, I had no leaks, only minor rubbing of my right pipe under the suspension (had it adjusted and fixed).
I did hear a lil bit of droning, but it was tolerable.
I dynoed with the exhuast and a K&N air filter. I gained 2hp (231) and no torque change (222).
Then I added RT Cats (courtesy of Neffster) and now the exhaust sounds gurgly, mean and overrall more pronounced with it's deeper tone (I really have the mustang/camaro v8 sound now). The drone is more noticeable now (probably due to rt cats) and I occasionally do hear some rasp round 25k to 28k rpms (again probably due to the cats), but I got the cats for a great deal so I can live with it until they implode.
I dyno at 243hp, 232 torque with my mods in my sig.
The borla may not be as flashy as the HKS or Greddy, but I like it. Nice deep tone...

How does the borla compare to the HKS? Is it quieter? What about performance? What exhausts are quiter than the borla?

Was the rubbing on the area where the rubber hanger connects the muffler? I noticed a rattling sound with mine that seems to be isolated to that area. Whats odd is that it only rattles at 1200rpm, which is what the car idles at when 1st started and warming up.
