cuz the sedan and the coupe yield different gains for theses mods-moderators can move the thread to modifications if they like-but I just wanted coupe input-unless a sedan owner feels so strongly about one of the choices

What information are you looking for? I started with the z-tube and k&N filter. While I noticed a little more pep over stock, it wasn't much of an improvement acoustically. I added the stillen box to the z-tube and while there isn't a huge difference in performance, the sound of the intake from about 3,000 rpm on is amazing.

In 03, the sedan and coupe may have been tuned differently. They definitely had different automatics. Other than that, can you back up your statement that they "respond differently"?

They - are - the - same - car.

As for my experience... I have noticed zero difference in performance with the ztube and k&n. I didn't notice any difference in intake noise either, with the ztube. However, when I paired the ztube with the k&n, I did notice a nice "euro" note in upper rpm's.

BTW - I have an 05 6MT sedan.

I have the Z Tube & K&N. The performance is minimal at best, but saved money over additional intake mods. Then used extra dollars for Motordyne XL Plenum spacer.

Well, this was in the coupe section afterall, and it even had "coupe only" in the title. So I guess I did invade the thread didn't I?

And one last thing. The general opinion on the ztube, at least as a sound mod, is almost unanimously positive. However, I haven't read much feedback from other 05 6MT guys(both coupes and sedans) that can actually hear a difference.

I was just going off of Stillen's website and a description of the popcharger which said that the sedan yielded more gains than the coupe-dunno if this is true for 05's, but aren't the exhaust setups different b/w the coupe and the sedan?

I installed a Z Tube and a K&N filter about a month after I got my '05 6MT Coupe. To say it made a big difference would be a stretch. However, there was a slight increase in overall sound and tone.
