chime in on your exhaust
chime in on your exhaust
I'm currently in the market for an aftermarket exhaust. I've got my eye on either the Stillen or Borla. I'd like to know everyone's opinions on sound, fit, etc. It seems like this car needs to breath better. The power is there it just feels bottled up a bit. Thanks.
Moderators might move this thread but I will answer for you real quick.
I have never heard the Stillen in person. The borla's sound was deeper but didn't really do it for me.
I purchased the injen blindly based off of other forum members descriptions.
It's much louder than stock. Interior noise is a Bit%h and gets on my nerves at times. Not the exhaust for you if you want to have a decent conversation in the car.
It gives a much different sound on the outside than I expected. Sounds pretty cool though! Not ricey at all. If it was just more quiet it would be perfect for me.
I will be taking it off soon and going with the APS exhaust when I go FI.

Absolutely love the Stillen on my coupe! SUper sweet sound, not obnoxiously loud. Retains the stock tone but just a little louder and deeper! You can keep it quiet if you like by granny shifting, but at WOT she screams so nice! Sounds very exotic!
I've got the Stillen cat-back and installed it with the Stillen CAI at the same time on my sedan 6mt. I bought the original version the first week it came out. It is quite loud in my 41 yr. old opinion but I love the extra power. I then installed the Motordyne 1/2' plenum spacer and now it really screams. Performance-wise, this is the way to go. At WOT it sounds like a damn Nascar motor, Love it!! My neighbors don't though.
