Z Tube Emmisions Hose touching

I have a question on the emissions hose attached on the underside of the Z Tube. I noticed that when I installed the Z Tube the emissions hose is touching the bottom hose and the side wall of the car. Should I be worried about this? Last thing I need is chaffing between the hoses. I tried readjusting the Z Tube to where the emissions hose does not touch anything. No Luck. How is your setup? Thanks

Ablangc,
The biggest problem everyone ran into with the Z tube was rubbing on the the A/C lines. Some of the guys had to have their A/C systems fixed, not cheap! I put spacers where the brackets bolted on to the intake and the fender. This brought the Z tube/cone filter up enough so it would not rub against the A/C lines. Let me know if you would like more info on this.
Later,

Hmmm . . . With regard to the "Z Tube," you should not have any problems with it or related parts touching any other components under your hood. The emissions hose will rub up against the side wall of the brake components bay, which is fine. The underside of the emissions hose may rub up against a coolant line, if so, simply lift up on it gently and it will remain out of the way. This is the case with my '05 Coupe. Enjoy your new Z Tube.

PS I trust you installed a Z Tube and are using the stock filter housing. Adding a popcharger usually creates an ac line rubbing issue, which is easily remedied, as well.

well i decided to use the Z tube/K&N filter combo. I am pretty content with that. When I added the Motorodyne MREV MOD, hp/torque & sound gains were much more noticeable. Andy, thanks for answering my question.

Your are quite welcome, it was my pleasure. I trust you are having a blast with the MREV.

Yes I am. LOL still getting aquainted with it; however, I am still trying to figure out how some other people who have this mod are saying that it is easy to break loose the tires in 1st and 2nd gear if you floor it. I dunno......... maybe it is the road conditions. Next up: Strup Headers.

I am about to get the price from a hookup. That is my only hold up. If I cant get it cheaper than what partshippers is asking for, then I will buy it from them vice the hookup. The only part I dread is the install. I might pay for the install.

Yeah I have read about people that zipe tied their ac line. Mainly, I was more worried about the emissions tube that is resting against the wall of the brake component bay.
