Which type of Z-Tube is best for performance?

I was wondering if anyone could tell which type of z-tube material is best for performance between the rubber, metal or carbon fiber. Thanks for the help.

performance wise there pretty much equal, getting the utr or carbonfiber one are purely for cosmetics

well its bull**** because if u look inside the actual piping u see that the regular z tube is smoother and has no rough edges, while the utr is copycat with a crappy inside... the whole tube looks like a mess, my friend bought one and was not too happy... if anything they do the same thing plus z tube is cheaper

utr tube, from what i've heard, is bumpier inside which distrupts air flow.

all right, but that doesnt mean that it's bullsh!t... Anyone that knows anything about carbon fiber or fiberglass knows that the underside where it's not finished definitely isnt smooth. The only reason you would buy the CF z-tube over the normal one is for cosmetics anyways. The UTR polished z-tube however is smooth on the inside, you cant really have an arguement that the UTR z-tube is BS. It's your friends fault for not researching before he bought it anyway...

Yup, I have the Chrome UTR z-tube. Smooth as a babys *** on the inside, and I love how it looks!

99 Atlantic U Are Absolutely Right, The Utr Is Bumbier In The Inside And It Does Disturb Air Flow, They Do The Same Thing, But The Z Tube Is Smoother And Better Made, Plus Its An Oem Part, Buying The Utr Is Cosmetic Bullsh!t, I Dont Mean To Affend Anyone But I Have The Z Tube With The Stillen Intake, And It Is Awesome. You Will Get The Same **** With The Utr But It Is Crappy Made, And Im Not Tryin To Knock Utr Users, They Both Are Great, But If U Can Get A Better Quality Product For Cheaper, The Other Product Is Bullsh!t, But The Utr Does Look Awesome Dont Get Me Wrong

you are correct that the UTR carbon fiber tube is not totally smooth on the inside.

their polished aluminum and chrome intake tubes are totally smooth just like the regular Z-tube

I seriously doubt that one brand of tube over the next is going to yield any substantial and measurable increase in power gains.

Metal intake tubing also transfers a greater amount of heat therefore raising the air intake temperatures. Colder, denser air= more horsepower.
