Test pipes and fuel economy?
Re: Test pipes and fuel economy?
Mine went down, but I can't stop laying into it to hear the growl over 3k rpm. I suspect once I cut it a break, the fuel economy will improve. My first mod and I LOVE IT!!!

Re: Test pipes and fuel economy?
We ar talking about the pipes between the exhaust manifolds and the exhaust system. They contain the CatCons for the G. They are called downpipes because they run from beside the engine to down underneath the car connetcing to the exhaust proper. Removing them is a big no no, emissions wise, however it's a relativly easy HP increase and increases the sound of the car some. I have read 15 HP increase and they cost somewhere in the 300-350 range.

Actually so far it (MPG) has remained the same, however I have been putting my foot in it more then usual. Once I stop that behavior, I expect it will improve some.
