y-pipe outlet, 70mm/80mm, does it matter???

as the title states...some of the y-pipes are 80mm outlet and they advertise it to fit the oem mid-pipe w/o modification, i read that oem mid-pipe is 70mm, so do i need to do something to fit a 80mm y-pipe to my oem midpipe...

thanks,
benjamin

Shouldn't be any different... bolt-on parts are usually made to be compatible with stock parts without any modification...

do not run 80mm aftermarket Y pipe to oem midpipe stock exhaust. I did it while waiting for the FUJI to come in. There is a serious bottleneck in the high rpms. You will not get as much GO as you want.
