yes...metal mesh filter...still not louder...for that much I would pay a little more and get the HKS suction intake...the bypass valve does not guarantee not ingesting water...it is supposed to breathe air from inside the engine bay via the bypass when pressure drops at the filter...ive seen cai suck up water with a bypass still
