i heard pro1 exhuast with header and test pipes on a g35 in person...
that sound its like a airplane....wayyy too loud
the reason i pick evo2 cause of the LOOK,and now i want it to be meaner
..wat test pipes do u think it would be nice combo with evo2? or wat test pipe is the "2nd" loudest.
ps..im not into change the headers

i got GReddy EVO2 also . . . and so does my cousin . . . i've had an exhaust company custom make it a true dual . . . after that the car sounded meaner than my cousins . . . and now i have kinetix hi-flow cats . . . sounds even louder . . . more aggressive . . . the moment the engine was turned on we all noticed a difference . . . i'll start a thread soon about the SSV Extreme intake manifold . . . dyno n everything . . . let me just get everything together . . .

Testpipes
Hey all -
Here's the scoop - from some real world testing:
In the world of testpipes - you choose from resonated or non resonated. When you go non-resonated, you WILL get rasp throughout the system, UNLESS, you heavily resonate the rest of the exhaust to counteract the pulses and balance the backpressure - thereby killing the rasp.
The resonators slow the exhaust just enough to make this balance happen without sacraficing performance very much at all. With this said, not all resonated pipes are the same and not all resonators are the same either.
1 - the diameter of the pipe makes a huge difference - any real testpipe should be done in 2 1/2 to maximize performance and system stoutness.
2 - the resonator - every version out there will have a 4"-6" resonator on the testpipe. The shorter the resonator, the more rasp potential. From what I have found in my research, the resonators are spiral louvre cores - just like the old fashioned glasspack mufflers (they are still made that way as well and definately have their place - I'm not at all knocking them) - BUT they are restrictive and not very efficient either. A PERFORATED CORE RESONATED TESTPIPE will give you a much smoother sound in the end, far less potential for rasp and more efficiency.
3 - Fast Intentions Resonated Testpipes are perforated cored units. They are also 8" resonators - not 4"-6" in size. The efficiency of these units is all the way through the band - through redline. This means that after 4000-4500 RPM the system will not start to rasp out - the resonator keeps working all the way through. This isn't so with most of the testpipes. I forget which set it was, but one of them actually made it to 5800 RPM's before it rasped out. The problem is that you'll never hear it unless your outside the car...you know - all the people who your trying to impress will hear it
As much as I want to not try to sell you the Fast Intentions testpipes, and educate you on your choices...it's hard to do that when the FI testpipes are the only ones made this way - and they are competatively priced.
We have a Group Buy going on now in the MarketPlace for our Intimidator Exhaust system, and the testpipes are also on sale there.
