Gas on paint

My gas tank overspilled. Does the gas affect the paint?

Yes it will strip any wax off the paint and gradually degrade it over time.
Just wash the affected area well and reapply your wax.

Wash it off ASAP. Nothing will happen at first but if you leave the gas there or your tank spills over a number of times then it can start to ruin you paint.

The best thing to do is wipe it right when it happens. Use the gas station paper towels. Gas is mainly corrosive untill it evaporates, it will **** up your paint if its massively overfilled and it keeps dripping, otherwise if u wipe it off or a drip drop or two, don't worry.

^^ that's what I do and never had problem. I did spill a ****load on my roommate's car few years ago... it was an old Integra and turned paint pink from red.
