Getting My Windows tinted tomorrow. any last words?
I think you'll regret anything darker than 20% at night. My wife's truck is 10% on the rear windshield and 20% on the rear windows (f150 crew) and it's almost impossible to see behind you at night, especially when you're backing out in a poorly lit area.
I've got 35% all the way around. The state troopers here are really starting to crack down on illegal tint. Also, we cannot get an inspection sticker if our tint is darker than 35%.
Yes, there are still good ole' boy shops that will overlook the dark tint, but they are rapidly getting found and fined hefty amounts.
With that being said, 35% sucks. It does help with keeping the interior cooler during the day, but it doesn't afford much "cool factor". Anything is better than nothing though, and I know I won't get pulled over for it. #1 rule is, "never give the cops an excuse to pull you over".

Wait, so do you have a coupe or sedan? Are the rear side windows gonna be 5% or 20% to match the fronts? For the side windows, you should get the same level of tint and go darker with the rear if you want.
Go with 20% all around, 5% is the drug-dealer look that will only attract more attention from the cops and 20% will look cleaner.
This was my 03 Coupe (Black interior) with 15% tint all around:

This was on a cloudy day.

We have 35%, and it is pretty dark even with light interior. It helps a lot during the summer heat, so we're very happy with it, wouldn't keep a car without a tint. We just keep our eyes wide open for cops, and if you spot one, just roll them down.

Or you can just drive around and not really give a sh*t. If you're comfortable with your tinted windows, the cops will be too. It's always when you're scouting around and have that nervous look on your face because of your tints that gets you pulled over.
