I think you are ok. Maybe you will even sell a few sets from this. I'll send you pics once I get them on tomorrow or Saturday.

With the vent cut outs on my hood angled up and outwards, it looked better to me (IMO) to have them mounted with the wider section towards the front of the vehicle and follow the vent contour...
Thanks again Mike!
I was very skeptical before they came in but now that they are on I like them a lot. They were smaller than I thought and once they are painted to match it will be a great way to be safe but still look clean.
I posted pics here:

I didn't install my Aerocatch hood pins last weekend because I decided I wanted to paint them first. They went to the shop today. I'll install them Saturday and post pics.
so how are people installing these ? Just using a template and dremel ?? Someone told me to becareful installing these on a carbonfiber hood because it will turn yellow around the cut but I dont remember if he said just to add tape or some thing else
Install was more difficult than I expected. Cutting the top of the hood was easy. Installing the nuts and washers from below requires that you cut away a fairly large hole on the underside of the hood. In hindsight, I should have taken off the hood before cutting. Overall, I'm satisfied with the appearance and function. It's nice to have the peace of mind that the hood isn't going to get airborne on me.
