Definitely possible. There is a small radius at that location on the coupe hood as well. It was slight enough that I just forced the latch assembly to follow the contour of the hood by tightening the nuts. Alignment is very good. Pins are recessed nearly as far as they'd go in order to line up with the latch.

I noticed theres a little gap towards the front. Got any pix with the hood opened or on the underside of the hood ?

Hood pins are very reliable in my opinion. Better safe than sorry. Would you rather be paying for a new windsheild, hinges and a hood are just drill two holes in the radiator support?

Theres no gap at the front of the latch assembly. It may look that way in the pic but it must be some reflection. No additional pics yet.
