Most of the chip repair places are about the same.

Try http://www.safelite.com. They have locations all over the country.

I used safelite on my old Maxima with good results. They come to you, take about 10 15 min. and it looks great. You just need to get it done before it spreads. It was also covered by my insurance even though I did not have comprehensive coverage. I think it was a $65 charge to them.

Why don't you want to use insurance? If you have full glass coverage, you won't pay a dime, plus it will NOT go against you. Comprehensive/glass claims cannot go against you. (I used to be an insurance agent)

Um, because free is better than $50? I told you it won't affect you, but hey, it's your $50.

I finally got it done for 41 USD from Safelite , they did a pretty neat job and it healed around 80% of the damaged area but there is a small mark on that spot which they said cannot be repaired which is fine with me as long as it does not spread.

I did take an estimate for a new windshield and was astonished to find that OEM costs 1500 bucks compared to the one from Safelite for 330-350 bucks.

In future if you do need to replace the windshield which one would you go for guys ?

Is it worth to take OEM ? Ofcourse thru Insurance
