1. drill out the center of the 2 cluminum pieces thats riveted onto the bumper support, they come right off (mentioned already)
2. You dont need rivet gun, you can just go to local home depot to buy short nut and bolt for 99 cents and they work just fine. (this is for the sidemarker housing thats going to be reused and put onto the nismo bumper)
*****3. Cover both fenders or have someone help you so each can hold one side! This is the most important because those sidemarker housings will scratch up your fenders BAD if not careful!*****

Good luck dave, its gonna look great and dont forget to stare at your car for a minimum of 10 minutes after install
Sounds like I should do a picture DIY for this.

I just realized the FSM I have is for the coupe and the bumper for the coupe looks much less involved. I yanked a corner lamp last night and I saw one of the rivets you guys are talking about. Are there any other rivets I should be aware of that need drilling out?

When I replaced my front bumper it took 10 min. to pull off the original. Another hour to put the new bumper on. 1/2 that time was wasted waiting for my drill to charge so I could remove the light housings.

I'm excited though because I've wanted this bumper since I got my car 2.5 years ago and the OEM bumper is an eye sore.

I beg to differ, it WILL be a striking difference!(even in pics)

Good luck and post pics.

remember when you park...stop short! to prevent scuffs
Keep a bottle of quick mist for pesky bugs or whatever.

Yeah, I love it. Thanks a lot for the help on this project. The main eye sore on this car is gone. Next up is painting the lower sills when I get my airtools next month.

Looks hot. I would consider getting the nismo sills and rear. The sills have a hot flare to them that umm, while it's suttle, it is hot. The rear looks aggressive with the lower under-spoiler too.

If you decide to paint sills and rear, I still think your G will look hot...so much better than b4.

I couldn't see myself spending $600 on side sills that had such little difference as stock ones so I had it painted. I did get the nismo rear and IMO it flows just as nice...it came out exactly the way I wanted it and I am $600 richer
