03 Stock spoiler install questions, please help

I went to a body shop today to see if they could install my factory 03 spoiler. He said since it needs to have nine holes drilled to install it, that he would not attempt it with out some kind of template. So I guess the biggest question is;

where can I get a template for installing this spoiler? I contacted someone that sells factory replica spoilers on ebay, because in his ebay ad he says that he includes an easy to install template. He told me that the replicas install different then the genuine factory spoiler, so the template would not work for me. I contacted Grubbs and they claim that there is no template, but they also said that you cant get any of the mounting hardware either, but that has to be false.

If anyone has installed a genuine 03 style spoiler please let me know how you did it. I also need to know how the led brake light wires up. is there a pigtail that clips to the third breaklight? I wish someone had made a tutrioal for this.

Please help!

The parts department claim that the spoilers from the factory come with mounting hardware and a template. they only come as a package and you cant get any of it seperatly. They also dont keep templates from past spoiler installs. When I ask about the wireing for the third break light they claim they have no idea. They are also quoting anywhere from $150-$200 for install. So when I ask they install without a template they either cant answer or say "oh well we make or own."

I called Infiniti Customer Affairs and they told me that I cant get a template because they dont want to give those out to the public. Incase there is a problem with the template. Lol, that has to be the biggest pile of horse crap they have ever shovled out.

Please if anyone has installed a factory spoiler please let me know what you did as far as a template and third brake light wireing! If you bought a brand new factory spoiler and it came with a template I would be willing to buy it from you.

Wow, Grubbs is a sponsor I think we, as members here, should remember this.

get a long piece of paper and tape it to the bottom of the spoiler. Pole holes where the screws go and make a precise outline of the edge of the spoiler. Remove it and tape it to the trunk lid in the proper location. Mark and drill the holes. Don't forget about the hole for the 3rd brake light wires.
