blacked out oem grill w/ nismo front

if you look at the new APR widebody kit, what looks to be the oem grill is blacked out. I was wondering how they did this. I'm not aware of the oem grill being sold like this and if it were I'd be the first one to jump on it. Does anyone have any information or any knowledge on how to make it this way? I'm lost... any information is regarding this would be more then helpful. Thanks.

Also, for the nismo front bumper owners, many of you guys got the gialla grill instead of keeping the stock grill, but I was wondering if you could maintain the oem grill with the new front bumper. I wanted to black the grill and get the nismo front to give it a stock look somewhat. Thanks again guys.

you just have to get it the oem grill painted. local body shop or paint shop can do it..or you can do it yourself. just search in the forums for "black, grill" or "painted, grill" you'll find a lot of stuff as a lot of members have done this. as for the nismo front you can keep the stock grill..its up to you.

Thanks a lot. Some people said powdercoating it would be the thing to do, but... I said to myself isn't the grill made of plastic?... wouldnt it melt then? I'll make sure to check the other threads.

how do you not have an emblem on your grill? Behind the emblem there should be an empty space because all it is an insert. How did you replace this?

i also thought about leaving it oem and just painting the top of each line black to get rid of that bump eveyr couple inches. Would that look a little funny or would it come out ok? I really can't tell.
